Make your own at home with this homemade Italian Sausage Seasoning. These savory spices go great in ground turkey, chicken, bison, beef or pork. Ground meats are an easy and quick protein option. Simply combine 1 – 1 1/2 tablespoons per pound of ground meat while you are browning it. Plan ahead and prepare extra so you have leftovers. As with most Italian dishes, the flavors intensify over time!
Use in your favorite recipes that call for sausage. Soup, spaghetti sauce, meatloaf, and pizza are just a few examples where this recipe works great.
Makes 1/2 cup
- 1 T parsley
- 1 1/2 T Italian seasoning
- 1 T black pepper
- 4 tsp garlic powder
- 3 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- Combine all the seasonings into a small bowl.
- Transfer into an air tight container and store in your spice cabinet.
- Add 1 – 1 1/2 tablespoons Italian Sausage Seasoning to 1 pound ground meat.
- Brown or cook as desired.
Tip: If you like it spicy, add red pepper.
