My passion for trueats began a few years ago…
I have always focused on healthy eating, or so I thought. Despite following many common health food guidelines I was experiencing a growing list of personal but also common health issues (joint pain, prone to injury, skin irritations, anxiety, anemia, and hypoglycemia). So I doubled down on my health food and exercise regiment, but my symptoms continued and even worsened. Desperate for answers I was referred to a functional medicine doctor for a series of blood tests that would determine my own personal food sensitivities. Wow, was I surprised by the results!
As it turns out, many of the so called “health foods” I was consuming were actually quite disruptive to my body. The main culprit was sugar (no surprises there, except this meant ALL sugar), but dairy, gluten, and a few other common ingredients were wreaking havoc inside of me and were the direct cause of all my symptoms. Ugh… but I worked so hard to eat right and prepare all of my foods according to healthy recommendations!
So I began researching in order to fix my body through food!
Food is the true medicine and quality fuel that allows us to thrive.
My hope is that others will benefit through my own experience and recognize how trueats can be simple and fun.
